What weights of fly lines do RestorLine products work with?

RestorLine has 2 primary product lines supporting fly lines sizes 3-6 and 7-10 weight.  Whether you're fishing for trout in a mountain stream, or casting for bonefish on the flats there is a RestorLine product to repair your fly line, and get you back on the water.

Do RestorLine products work with all fly lines?

RestorLine products are compatible with all fly line manufacturers and materials, including PVC and polyurethane.

What kind of heat gun do I need for RestorLine products?

RestorLine products require a craft or industrial grade heat gun.  Because our materials need to be properly heated to create the bond to the fly line, you need a heat gun that can provide sufficient heat.  A hair dryer is not sufficient.

Can I use a lighter to heat shrink the RestorLine products?

We do not recommend the use of an open flame with any RestorLine products.

How long does it take to repair a fly line using RestorLine materials.

There is a small learning curve to learn how the materials work, but generally, line repair with any RestorLine product should take less than 1 minute.

How strong is the repaired line?

Our team has extensively tested the RestorLine products and typically the strength of the repair exceeds the mechanical strength of the fly line.  In other words, you'll break your fly line before you break the RestorLine repair.
